The World Cup - Transcript

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. In some places, it is the only sport people play. Like all sports, soccer has competitions, but the World Cup is the biggest and most important of them all.
The World Cup is an international competition between national teams. It takes place every four years. It was first played in 1930. There were only eight teams then, so it was quite small compared to today’s event, which has 32 teams.
Brazil has won more World Cups than any other country. They are also the only country to have played in every World Cup.
No one knows who will win the next World Cup, but there will be millions of people around the world cheering for their favorite teams.

The World Cup of soccer is a big event that happens every four years. It started in 1930 when a man named Jules Rimet had an idea. The Start of the World Cup

The first World Cup happened in Uruguay. Teams from different places came to play, and Uruguay won the first tournament by beating Argentina in the final game. This was the beginning of something very special for soccer fans around the world.
