Many parents worry about their children. They want to keep them safe, but they also want to give them freedom. One way that parents try to do both is by using smartphones to spy on their children. According to a survey in the United States, more than half of parents have used their smartphones to spy on their children. The most common reason was because the child did not return home when expected. Parents say that spying on their children helps keep them safe, but some experts think it causes problems in the family. For example, teenagers may feel angry when they find out that their parents have been secretly spying on them with a smartphone. This can cause arguments between parents and children.
