Some of the most famous paintings by Vincent van Gogh are from a series called Sunflowers.
They were painted in 1887 and 1888 and show sunflowers on the ground and in a vase. The paintings of sunflowers on the ground are called the “Paris Sunflowers,” and the paintings of sunflowers in a vase are called the “Arles Sunflowers.” All of the paintings are now very valuable.
Recently, one of the Sunflowers paintings was attacked at a museum in London. Protesters from a group called “Just Stop Oil” threw tomato soup at the painting.
