Not everything that people eat smells good. There are many foods around the world that are loved by local people even though they have a terrible smell. Many people consider cheese to be a stinky snack, but some cheeses are famous for their foul smells.
One of the world’s stinkiest cheeses comes from Gloucester in the west of England. It is made from the milk of local cows. It is then washed in a special alcohol called “perry,” which is made from pears. The cheese must be stored for four months before it is ready to eat. The cheese has a very appropriate name, Stinking Bishop, and it has become popular with cheese lovers around the world.
